Designation of Origin Getariako Txakolina at Caprice New York
Designation of Origin Getariako Txakolina will be present at the “Fancy Food Summer” in New York from 23 to 25 June. This visit will take place within the framework of the CAPRICE project: “Chill with an appetiser with European wine and quality products”.
Following the visit to Tokyo last May, the wineries representing Getariako Txakolina this time make up the trip to the “Fancy Food Summer Show”, held from 23 to 25 June in New York.
The CAPRICE project invites consumers from Japan and the USA to enjoy a gastronomic experience by savouring a glass of Getaria Txakoli accompanied by an appetiser with anchovies and tuna from Cantabrian Sea and chilli peppers from Ibarra with Eusko Label status, combining flavour, quality, culture and tradition.
The D.O. Getariako Txakolina wineries present in New York on 23, 24 and 25 June will be:Basa-Lore, Gaintza,Hiruzta, Inazio Urruzola and Txomin Etxaniz. Alongside them, other Designation of Origin wineries representing Arabako Txakolina and Bizkaiko Txakolina will make the journey. The Getaria Txakoli will be accompanied by chilli peppers froma Agiña Piperrak, and canned products from Arroyabe, Conservas Nardin,Conservas Serrats.
CAPRICE is a project approvede by the European Commission with the framewoek of aid for information and promotional activities for European food and agriculture produce in non-member countries. Over the next three years, different activities will be carried out in the USA and Japan. We will soon receive the visit of CAPRICE representatives from both Japan and the USA.
