Designation of origin Getariako Txakolina at CAPRICE in Tokyo
Designation of Origin Getariako Txakolina was present on 14 and 15 May in Tokyo with the CAPRICE project: “Chill with an appetiser with European wine and quality products”.
The CAPRICE project invites consumers from Japan and the USA to enjoy a gastronomic experience by savouring a glass of Getaria Txakoli accompanied by an appetiser with anchovies and tuna from Cantabrina Sea and chilli peppers from Ibarra with Eusko Label status, combining flavour, quality, culutre and tradition.
The D.O. Getariako Txakolina wineries present on 14 and 15 May in Tokyo were: Gaintza, Hika, Hiruzta, Inazio Urruzola,Talai Berri, Txomin Etxaniz and Zudugarai. They returned home feeling good thanks to the contacts made and happy because of the welcome our Txakoli received.
We´ve just been in Tokyo, and in June, the wineries are heading to New York. Likewise, over the next few months, we´ll receive visits from the representantives of CAPRICE.
CAPRICE is a proyect approved by the European Commission with the framework of aid for information and promotional activities for euopean food and agriculture produce in non-member countries. Over the next three years, different activities will be carried out in the USA and Japan.
